Rock Music Goes The Way Of The Beard

November 13, 2009

Carrie Brownstein, formerly of Sleater-Kinney, echos exactly how I feel about modern rock music. The pleasant and soulful melodies of most indie bands today are nice, but it feels like the majority of indie rock bands are under that spell, and after a while it all starts to blend together and sound the same. Carrie is more than qualified to talk about this, since Sleater-Kinney provided us with explosive music full of power and emotion that wasn’t always polite.
